    Location: Eagle Bend Golf Course – Lawrence, Kansas

     

    LAWRENCE, Kan. – Grant Seifried fired a season-low round to help the Evangel men's golf team to a second-place finish Tuesday at the Baker Spring Invitational.

     

    Seifried tied his season-low with a 73 in round one followed by a 72 in the afternoon on Monday. The Aurora, Mo., native finished with a season-best 222 over 54 holes to finish tied for second as Zach Chegwidden of William Penn won the tournament with a 210.

     

    Junior Dylan Bekemeier earned his fourth top 10 finish of the season with rounds of 72 and 77 on Monday. Bekemeier finished at 225 for the tournament to finish tied for sixth.

     

    As a team, Evangel finished second with a 910 during the three rounds. The Crusaders shot a season-low 300 in Monday's first round to finish behind William Penn and just ahead of third place Graceland.

    Evangel takes a week off before taking aim at Hail Ridge Golf Course April 24-25 at the Central Methodist Eagle Open. The course will be the same course to host the 2017 Heart Championships May 1-2.
