Evangel Football Adds Taylor Higgins to Staff

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel football head coach Chuck Hepola announced the addition of Taylor Higgins to the Crusader staff.

Higgins rejoins the Evangel staff in a full-time role and will serve as the wide receivers coach and also the Ministry Coordinator for the Evangel athletic department in his new role. He previously helped with the tight ends and wide receivers and also the equipment coordinator and film coordinator from 2010-2014.

Before returning to Evangel, he worked one season at Kickapoo High School under Kurt Thompson as the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach. Prior to his time with the Chiefs, he worked at Willard High for two seasons where he also got experience as the Tigers JV Head Coach. 

A Nebraska native, Higgins also worked three seasons at Strafford High School under Evangel alum, Tim Hester, where he was the offensive coordinator from 2011 to 2012. He also spent time at Hillcrest High School and Pleasant View Middle School.

A 2011 graduate of Evangel, Higgins earned a bachelor of science in physical education. He was also named Outstanding PE Major in 2010-11.

Higgins and his wife Natalie reside in Springfield.
