Evangel Football Announces Blackout vs. William Penn

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel University has announced a Blackout for the September 23 home football game against William Penn.

As part of the promotion, the first 100 students will receive a black Evangel Football Blackout T-Shirt sponsored by Johnny Mac's. All fans are encouraged to wear black to the game as the Crusaders will also wear their alternate black uniforms.

The game will also serve as the Hall of Fame Game as six individuals will be inducted into the Evangel Athletics Hall of Fame. Among those being inducted include former football All-Americans Ken Hendrick and Otis Calhoun along with men's basketball All-Americans Bryan Osterloh and Daniel Cutbirth. Women's basketball All-American and the first Evangel Olympian, Katarzyna (Kashka) Dydek will also be inducted along with longtime athletic director and coach Dr. David Stair.

The group will be inducted Friday, Sept. 22 at a banquet on the Evangel campus and then honored during halftime of the football on Saturday.
