Andreas Moeller Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Sophomore Andreas Moeller was honored for his combined performance on the field and in the classroom, Thursday being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team.

Moeller was selected to the First Team defensive line and advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot that will be announced in December. A native of Hebo, Oregon, Moeller posted a 3.94 GPA in biblical studies and psychology and was a standout on the defensive line for the Crusaders.

The sophomore finished with 46 tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, and 4.0 sacks on the season. He was named Heart Defensive Player of the Week for his 2.5 tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks against Graceland in week six.

He is the second straight Crusader to earn CoSIDA Academic All-District honors as Brock West was named Academic All-District and All-American last season.

The Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools, and other affiliations.
