SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel men's basketball team returns home for Senior Day on Saturday as they host Mount Mercy.

► Evangel returns home for its final two-game homestand of the regular season starting Saturday vs. Mount Mercy. The Crusaders will also honor their seniors for Senior Day.

Justin Washington (Springfield, Mo./Crane HS) is eight points shy of crossing 500 for the season and his 258 rebounds rank 15th most in a single-season at Evangel. Washington ranks fifth in the nation in total rebounds and eighth in rebounds per game.

Dylan Bekemeier (Republic, Mo.) is 57 points shy of 1,000 for his career as he has made 59 three-pointers this season, 12th most in a season at Evangel. Bekemeier also has 95 assists this season already tying his season-high set last year and giving him 279 for his career, 16th most in Evangel history.

► The 2018 Heart Postseason Tournament will consist of all 14 teams for one season and return to the top 10 teams next season with the departure of Avila. The top team in each division receives a bye as North and South teams 2-7 play opposite division teams in the first round. The tournament is then reseeded 1-8 with the overall best record being the No. 1 seed.

Evangel closes out home action Wednesday against Baker. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
