PERU, Neb. – The Evangel men's basketball team fell on the road 92-58 Saturday at 11th-ranked Peru State.

The Crusaders were unable to keep pace with the hot-shooting Bobcats who were firing on all cylinders in the first half shooting 50 percent from the field. Evangel made just three treys as Peru State knocked 17 three-pointers.

Chris Stocks led Evangel with 17 points while Ike Egwu added six points and six boards. Stocks, Luke Call, and Tory Stamps were the only Crusaders with a made three-point field goal as the trio made one each.

KeShawn Wilson led Peru State with 24 points while Brandon Jones finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Bobcats.

Evangel returns to the Ashcroft Center on Wednesday to host Culver-Stockton. Tipoff against the Wildcats is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
