LAMONI, Iowa — The Evangel men's basketball team fell on the road Saturday 89-47 to the defending national champions, Graceland Yellowjackets.

The Crusaders hung with the Yellowjackets on their senior day trailing by 10 most of the first half before heading into the locker room down 33-23. 

However, Graceland shot 62 percent in the second half and led by as many as 46 points. Evangel shot just 25 percent from the field in the loss and hit just three three-pointers.

Edriel Martinborough led the way with 12 points while Pavel Antonov added nine points and 11 boards.

Graceland was led by Will. Nelson who finished with a game-high 26 points and eight rebounds.
