BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – A big rally by Baker pushed the 6th-ranked Wildcats past the Evangel men's soccer team, 5-1, Wednesday night in conference play.

The Crusaders jumped out to an early lead scoring the game's first goal in the eighth minute. John De La Torre found the back of the net off a Dillon Creager pass for his third goal of the season.

However, Baker responded with three goals to take a 3-1 lead into halftime after a pair coming from Blake Levine.

The Wildcats would add two more goals in the second half including a fifth in the 80th minute to push the lead to 5-1. Baker outshot Evangel 10-5 in the second half and 11-5 in the first half.

Josiah Dinwiddie finished with five saves on ten shots for Evangel in the loss.

The Crusaders sit half a game behind Graceland with just two games left in the regular season for both teams. Both games for both teams come against nationally ranked opponents as six schools sit ranked in the NAIA Top 25.

Evangel will have nearly a week off before the final swing of the regular season starting next Tuesday at Coryell Field against No. 18 Benedictine. Action is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. against the Ravens.
