Crusaders Drop Battle Against Williams Baptist

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- Crusaders drop the third game of the season to the visiting Williams Baptist Eagles.


It was a chippy game when the Eagles and Crusaders battled it out on the pitch. Giovanni Souza opened the scoring for the Eagles in 7th minute with Thayrone Cazeca adding two more in the 48th and 78th minutes.


Austin Reinold scored the lone goal for the Crusaders in the 81st minute.


Both teams battled hard and four yellow cards were given out, 3 to Williams Baptist and 1 to Evangel.  


Josiah Dinwiddie had six saves on twelve shots on goal in the loss.



Evangel will hit the road and take on LSU-Alexandria on September 8th at home.


Rada led the way for the Spartans with three shots, while Erick Rodriguez had two to lead the Crusaders
