SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Head men's soccer coach Jeff Reinold revealed an 18-match schedule for the Evangel Crusaders in the 2019 season.
The 2019 slate includes eight home dates, three matches against ranked opponents, and a two-game trip to Louisiana.
Reinold's squad opens the season on the road Aug. 21 at Missouri Baptist before returning to Coryell Field for their home opener on Aug. 27 against Harris-Stowe.
Up next, the Crusaders trek to Louisiana for a two-game road swing against LSU-Alexandria (Aug. 31) and LSU-Shreveport (Sept. 2).
Upon returning to Springfield, the Crusaders welcome Central Baptist on Sept. 6 for a nighttime showdown.
Rounding out Evangel's non-conference schedule, the Crusaders make a stop at Williams Baptist (Sept. 11) and, three days later, return home to host Bethany (Sept. 14).
The Crusaders begin Heart of America play in Baldwin City, Kan. against NAIA top-25 member Baker on Sept. 18.
Closing out September, Evangel has a two-game homestand, playing host to Mt. Mercy (Sept. 21) and MidAmerica Nazarene (Sept. 25). Last season, the Crusaders outlasted Mt. Mercy in overtime, winning 4-3.
Evangel continues conference action throughout the entirety of October, which features three home dates against Culver-Stockton (Oct. 4), Central Methodist (Oct. 16), and Benedictine (Oct. 30). The final home match against Benedictine serves as the Crusaders' senior night.
