Both teams were able to find a little more rhytym in the second half. The Pioneer would double their lead in the 54th minute when again Gaspar scored a goal during the run of play off an assist by Jayedon Manswell.
This didn't dissuade the Crusaders from continuing to attack. They were able to finally find a breakthrough in the 83rd when Nick Wagner got on the end of a weighted pass from Amar Pearson to bring the Crusaders within one. The amped up the Crusaders attack even furthur, but they were unable to find an equaliser.
