MARSHALL, Mo. – Evangel soccer was shutout Tuesday night in their makeup against Graceland.

The Crusaders started out strong-willed in the first half, not only creating chances on the offensive end, but shutting down the Yellowjackets on defense. In the first half the Crusaders were able to fire off 4 SOG.

However, immediately after the second half started, Graceland was able to score and the Crusaders found themselves on the back foot and not able to recover. The Yellowjackets practically dominated the second half. They scored two more goals in the 77th and 88th minutes. They fired off 14 shots in the second half compared to four by Evangel.

Christian Clardy led the Crusaders with 2 SOG, followed by Jarrett Meyer, Vinicius Albino, and Amar Pearson with 1 SOG.

Josiah Dinwiddie played the full ninety minutes between the posts and had five save and allowed three goals.

Special thanks to Missouri Valley for letting the Crusaders play their makeup game at their facility.

Evangel will play their homecoming match on Friday, Oct. 4, against Culver-Stockton at Coryell Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
