ST. LOUIS – Evangel freshman Shane Burns won his second race of the season to help pace Crusader cross country at the St. Louis Fall Classic.

Burns won his second race of the season and his first 8k covering the course with a time of 26:03.63, also a personal best. The Evangel men finished sixth as a team after James Knowlton earned a top 20 finish after earning a personal best on the 8k course as well.

The Crusader women were led by Leslie Perona who finished fourth with a time of 19:39.7 on the 5k course. Both Caitlin Iwanowski and Emily Standage finished 17th and 18th to help Evangel post a fifth-place team finish.
