SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 2018 Evangel Softball DoubleTree Classic has finally found a schedule for Monday, Feb. 26, as rain moves out of the Ozarks.
What was once one of the largest and most competitive tournaments in the nation, with five of the 12 original teams either ranking in the Top 25 or receiving votes that included defending national champion and current No. 1 Oklahoma City. The current field will consist of six teams and still include a pair of teams receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches Top 25 Poll with members of the Heart, American Midwest Conference, and Great Plains Athletic Conference are represented.
All tournament action will be held at Killian Softball Complex using multiple fields. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m.
Evangel will play Lindenwood-Belleville at 2 p.m. and close out tournament action at 6 p.m. against Central Baptist.
