SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's basketball heads to South Division leader Central Methodist Wednesday night in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.

► Evangel enters the final two weeks of the regular season at the Heart South Division leader Central Methodist. The Eagles held off a Crusader rally in Springfield earlier this season as Evangel looks for its first win over CMU since Feb. 20, 2014.

Sydnee Garrett (Stockton, Mo./North Ark CC) still leads the conference in scoring averaging 18.8 points per game. Garrett also ranks 10th in NAIA Division I in scoring and her 452 points put her just 48 points shy of becoming the 20th Crusader to score 500 points in a season.

Randi Hancock (Bolivar, Mo.) has led the nation in free throw percentage nearly the whole season. Hancock is shooting 92 percent from the line going 58-of-63 as Hannah Miller of Shawnee State is second at 87 percent.

Evangel returns to the Ashcroft Center Saturday for Senior Day against Mount Mercy. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m.
