FAYETTE, Mo. – The Evangel women's basketball team fell cold in the second half Wednesday night falling 87-72 at Central Methodist.

The Crusaders were led by Sydnee Garrett who posted her 12th double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Garrett helped Evangel shoot 51 percent from the field in the first half but fell cold in the second-half shooting just 37 percent.

Central Methodist finished with three players scoring 20 or more points, led by DaJonee Hale with 25 points and six assists. Brandi Henton added 23 points as Zhara Lasster finished with 22 points and seven boards.

Evangel was just 3-of-15 from behind the three-point line as the Eagles went 7-of-22.

The Crusaders return home Saturday to host Mount Mercy for Senior Day. Tipoff against the Mustangs is scheduled for 12 p.m.
