SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's basketball team snapped a five-game skid Saturday with an impressive 76-43 win over Mount Mercy on Senior Day.

The Crusaders were led by seniors early on as Alison Jarrell and Madi Johnson knocked down big three-pointers. Evangel made six three-pointers in the first quarter and finished with 10 in the game.

Jarrell finished with 17 points and five assists as fellow senior Paige Patterson added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Sydnee Garrett led all scorers with 18 points as the junior also grabbed six boards in the win. Evangel out-rebounded Mount Mercy 44-33 and only turned the ball over 10 times.

Mount Mercy was led by 10 points from Ashley Dolan.

Evangel finishes its home regular season schedule Wednesday against Baker. The Wildcats won the first meeting 73-71 when they were ranked No. 13 in the nation. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
