Evangel Women’s Hoops Adds Maize, Kansas Commit Alexis Cauthon

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Head Coach Megan Leuzinger announced the addition of Alexis Cauthon from Wichita, Kansas, for the 2019-20 season.

Cauthon is the first out of state commit for the Evangel women's basketball 2019 Class. Entering her senior season at Maize High School, Cathon was a first team all-league and second team all-state selection as a junior.

She broke the Maize High School record for three-pointers in a single-season and averaged 10 points per game last year. She helped the Eagles earn a fourth-place finish in the Kansas State High School Basketball tournament as a junior after earning a runner-up finish as a sophomore in 2017.

The Crusaders open the 2018-19 basketball season Nov. 3 at Park University in Kansas City, before the home opener Tuesday, November 6, against Stephens College.
