DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Evangel women's basketball team rallied in the second half on Saturday to run away with a 64-47 road victory at Clarke University.

The Crusaders fell behind early but flipped the script in the second quarter to take a 31-28 lead into the locker room at halftime. Evangel turned up the defensive pressure forcing 29 turnovers for the Pride on 13 steals.

Junior Lexie Vaught recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds as she was one of three players in double figures for Evangel. Vaught also added five steals and two assists.

Kylee Moore led the Crusaders with 13 points, while Anne Marie Anibal added 10 points as well.

Morgan Pitz led Clarke with 11 points as the Pride managed to edge Evangel 47-43 on the glass.

The Crusaders were also successful going 18 of 24 from the free throw line.

Evangel returns home next Saturday to host Mount Mercy in Heart of America Action. Tipoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
