MARSHALL, Mo. – (RV) Evangel dropped a double-overtime heartbreaker on the road at Missouri Valley Thursday night, 98-97.

The Crusaders led by as many as 14 points in the fourth quarter but saw that lead slip away as the Vikings clawed their way back to tie the game at 76-76 at the end of regulation.

In the first overtime period, again the Crusaders were able to grab a lead only to see the Vikings come back and tie the game at the end of time. However, the second overtime period, the Vikings started out on the front foot and made the Crusaders chase them. The freshman missed one of her free throws and the game ended.
