SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's soccer team and Bruce Deaton have announced the addition of Riley Jarvis for the 2019 season.
Jarvis will finish her senior season at Heritage Christian Academy in Olathe, Kansas, this season after earning first team all-conference honors as a sophomore and a junior. She was named team MVP and is a three-year letter winner in soccer and two-year letter winner in basketball.
"Riley has the ability to possess the ball and control the tempo of a game by holding it, directing the play and by connecting with her teammates on the field," said head coach Bruce Deaton. "She is a dynamic player with great field vision and can put a ball in the back of the net, I am looking forward to having her join this special group of young ladies at Evangel next fall."
She helped Heritage Christian to a 4A Regional Championship in 2018 while playing for the KC Blaze Blue Angels during the club season. Her club team has won the state cup three of the last four years, while she has accumulated 33 goals and 28 assists during her high school career.
Also a standout in the classroom, Jarvis is a member of National Honor Society and has been named to the honor roll each year at Heritage Christian.
