FAYETTE, Mo. – Evangel women's soccer were defeated on the road at Central Methodist by a late rally from the Eagles, 2-1.

The Crusaders got on the board first off a goal by Amber Ellis with the assist from Maya Davidson in the 56th minute. The Eagles then scored twice in a four minute span (75th and 79th minute) to take the win.

In goal, Joran Stout-Mitchell made her collegiate debut and had seven saves off nine shots on goal.

After the game, Coach Bruce Deaton commented, "I can't begin to tell you how proud of these ladies I am. We played an amazing 90 minutes tonight. I can say without hesitation that if this match was a snapshot picture of the future of this Evangel women's team, I am beyond excited about seeing that future!"

What's Next

Evangel is at home on Saturday, October 27, for Senior Day to take on Graceland. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
