Evangel Women's Soccer Adds Goalkeeper Delaney Thomas to 2019 Class

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -  Evangel University women's soccer has announced the addition of goalkeeper Delaney Thomas.

Women's Soccer Coach Bruce Deaton had this to say about Delaney, "She is a talented and courageous goalkeeper who reads the play in front of her well to get into position to keep the ball out of the back of the net. She is fearless when going into traffic to make the save. She will help us continue to get even stronger on the defensive side of the game. I look forward to having Delaney here with us at Evangel and joining our soccer family."

During 31 matches this year in club with two teams, Thomas has 332 saves, an average of 10 per game with a 80% save percentage.

Thomas will be a freshman when she arrives on campus in the fall. She hails from Lee's Summit West HS in Lee's Summit, Missouri. In addition to playing soccer at Lee's Summit West, she was also involved in music and lettered all four years in music. She is planning on majoring in Sports Management at Evangel.
