Box Score

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's soccer team suffered their first conference loss of the season at the hands of No. 8 Central Methodist on Tuesday night, losing 5-1.

The Eagles scored two minutes into the game, but the Crusaders didn't let them hold the lead for long. Six minutes later, Ashley Ard passed the ball to Bianca Biffert who was able to shake off her defender and fire it past the keeper to equalize. However, this seemed to wake the Eagles up as they were able to score four more goals in the match. Much of the first half and a majority of the second saw the Crusaders playing on defensively and not able to muster much on offense.

The Crusaders had 8 total shots, with 4 being on goal. Biffert led the way with three shots on goal. McKinley Yoder had the other shot on goal.

Caitlyn Cox started the game in goal and allowed four goals and tallied seven saves. Abbey Schmidt also spent some time in the goal and gave up one goal and had one save.
