OSKALOOSA, Iowa – Freshman Terrell Posada highlighted the 2017 Heart Track and Field Championships winning the 100-meters and finishing third in the 200-meters.

Devon Colegrove also earned two top 10 finishes in the 1500-meters and 5000-meters on the men's side while Allison Newport finished second in the javelin. Brittany Knowlton and Leslie Perona raced to top 10 finishes as well.

News & Notes

- Posada broke the Evangel record in the 100-meter preliminaries with a time of 10.53. The freshman finished first in the finals as well with a time of 10.55 as both times rank top 20 in the NAIA.

- Devon Colegrove earned a personal best in the 1500-meters with a time of 4:14.65 as he finished eighth. Colegrove also finished sixth in the 5000-meters with a time of 16:11.76.

- Brittany Knowlton finished sixth with a time of 2:31.23.

- Madison Proben earned a top five finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.67. The time was a personal best for Proben who also earned a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles finishing ninth with a time of 16.40.

- The 4x800-meter relay team also earned a top 10-finish racing to a 10:36.08 finish with eighth place. Caitlin Iwanowski, Hannah Perona, Yoseline Robles and Brittany Knowlton all competed for Evangel.

- MidAmerica Nazarene won the men's championship while Grand View captured the women's title. Evangel men finished 11th and the Crusader women checked in at 13th.
