SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel volleyball team took a 3-1 win over Mount Mercy Saturday afternoon in conference action from the Ashcroft Center.

Less than 24 hours removed from an exciting five-set comeback victory, Evangel won decisively in four sets on Saturday. The Crusaders won 25-18, 25-19, 18-25, 25-17 to win their second straight and third consecutive at home, while more importantly improving to 4-3 in league play.

How It Happened

  • Heather Gahm led Evangel with 27 kills and an impressive .458 hitting percentage.
  • Bridget Petersen helped the offense with 10 kills while adding three blocks.
  • Pacing the offense was setter Victoria Fishback with 55 assists and 12 digs to earn her seventh double-double of the season.
  • Four Crusaders finished with double-figure digs on the defensive side of the net, led by 21 from Jorden Stacey. Hailey Noblitt added 18 digs and Eryn Russell finished with 10.

  • Evangel won its third straight home match and improved to 5-1 at the Ashcroft Center this season.
