LAMONI, Iowa – The Evangel volleyball team fell on the road to a red-hot Graceland Yellowjackets, 3-0, in Heart of America Athletic Conference action on Friday night.

The Crusaders saw their brief three-match win streak snapped in the loss but still remain above .500 in league play at 5-4 and 13-11 overall.

Evangel was unable to find points on the offensive side of the net as both teams defense stepped up in the match. The Crusaders tallied eight blocks as a team while Graceland added nine blocks. Both teams also finished with more than 55 digs each.

Evangel was led by Heather Gahm with 10 kills in the match as Victoria Fishback earned a double-double with 27 assists and 11 digs. Bella Lemusu added nine kills and a .261 hitting percentage for Evangel in the loss.

Megan Kneib led Graceland with 16 kills and 14 digs to earn a double-double as well.

Evangel continues road action on Saturday at Peru State. Action is slated to start at 2 p.m.
