PERU, Neb. – The Evangel volleyball team was unable to hold off Peru State Saturday afternoon as the Bobcats rallied for a 3-2 conference victory.

Peru State won the first set before Evangel rallied back to take a 2-1 lead. However, The Bobcats would win the fourth and force a fifth set and edge the Crusaders 16-14.

The Crusaders had three players finish in double-figure kills with Bella Lemusu leading the way with 13 kills. Emma Lander and Heather Gahm each added 11 kills respectively.

Victoria Fishback helped pace the offense with a double-double with 45 assists and 13 digs.

Jorden Stacey added 17 digs on the defensive side of the net in the loss.

What's Next
Evangel closes out its road swing on Tuesday night at William Woods. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
