POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – The Evangel volleyball team fell on Monday afternoon to a hot hitting College of the Ozarks squad, 3-1, in the regular season finale at Keeter Gymnasium.

The Crusaders took the first set, 25-19, but were unable to keep pace with the Bobcats who hit .306 as a team despite Evangel hitting .239 as a team.

Heather Gahm led Evangel with 17 kills as one of four Crusaders to finish in double-figure kills. Emma Lander and Tori Lowry tallied 13 kills each while Bridget Petersen added 11 kills in the loss.

Victoria Fishback posted 50 assists and Jorden Stacey recorded 22 digs for Evangel.

Alex Spears tied Gahm's match-high 17 kills and added 13 digs for a double-double in the Bobcats' win.

Evangel returns home to open the Heart Postseason Tournament Wednesday night against North Division No. 5 seed in the first round. A win for the Crusaders would keep their season alive advancing to the Quarterfinals on Saturday.
