Evangel Volleyball Cruises at MNU Classic for Sixth Straight Win

OLATHE, Kan. -- The Evangel University volleyball team rallied to dominate Trinity International in the MNU Classic finale on Saturday with a 3-1 win, helping the Crusaders stay perfect on the season.

Game 1: Evangel 3, Trinity International

A close loss in the first set, 25-22, put the fire in Evangel to close out decisively, the final three sets against Trinity International. The Crusaders committed just four errors total in the second and third sets adding a .424 hitting percentage in the second set.

Evangel was led offensively by Daisy Eklund who tallied 13 kills and a .370 hitting percentage. Bridget Petersen was also efficient adding 11 kills and a .375 hitting percentage.

Jorden Stacey added 18 assists while McKenna Miller tallied 15 assists from the setter position.

Eryn Russell led the Crusaders on the defensive side of the net with 27 digs, while Shannon Collins added 10 digs.
